Why start an internet business in the first place?

Let us look at some reasons why an internet business makes sense. I am sure my story will sound familiar to many of you: I was stuck in traffic on my way to work one day when I calculated the time I spent traveling to and from work. I was wasting a minimum of two hours a day, 48 hours a month, 576 hours a year commuting to and from work. This meant I was spending a total of 24 days (more than my annual leave) per year doing noting except build up unnecessary stress while paying for the fuel to do so. Furthermore, I had to spend some eight hours a day at the office, even on days when my work was done in six hours. That led me to start investigating other options, among them establishing an internet business. I had no experience and had to find solutions. A little later I shall share with you how I went about it.

Shall we explore a couple of reasons why you may want to start an online business? 

• Freedom. Running your internet business allows you to work from anywhere: your home, a coffee shop, the library or even while traveling abroad. You can regulate your hours to fit in with the schedule of your family so you get to spend more time with them. Your internet business allows you more time to do the things that matter to you.
• You do not need a fortune in start-up capital. With your own great business idea, or by joining others in affiliate programmes, you need no more than a domain name and website. In some instances you do not even need these.
• You can reach millions of potential customers worldwide that are already spending money on the internet and get your share of the wealth. 
• You create your income. Literally.You decide how much you work. Put in more effort and your income will grow exponentially. You immediately gain job security, as no boss can tell you that your services are no longer required.
• You decide and control what you present on the internet and how you market your business. Provide quality backed by good service for best results and build your business reputation your way.
• You are fully independent, and age is not an issue.
• You do not have to quit your day job until you earn enough to carry you forward.

The first step to freedom is right in front of you, and the time to take it is right now!
